First entry: Preamble

Okay, this is my first "public" blog, so I'm going to keep it simple until I learn the ropes.

Recently, I upgraded my Windows 7 Dell laptop (Insprion N7110 to be precise) to Windows 10.  It was apparently a free upgrade, and knowing Microsoft, they'll stop servicing the older versions.

Understand that I am a Microsoft bigot, so I trash Microsoft as often as I can.  I much prefer Linux, though I also understand that Linux is not ready for prime-time, though it's close.

Since this is my first blog, I may have others about Linux, traffic and my life later when I get the hang of this.

This blog is going to be short as it will allow me to express my good and bad experiences with Windows 10.  Note that even though I don't like Microsoft, my overall experience so far is positive.  I do have some complaints, but considering my past experiences, this one is better.
